Technical: Suggest using HDMI cable to the TV and using LottoSystemsNetwork from Verizon hotspot or

JeterHotspot from Pixel 2 XL as a hotspot. I have not tried the new Sonic WiFi.

Use WINDOW-KEY p to control the second monitor on ASUS laptop.

Note: from a reference on the Internet, or perhaps in a hymnal, I see that 2019, after Advent start, is Year A

for the Lectionary. But the Lectionary Page gives Year C for 2019 entries.

Luke 18:9-14 NIV:

The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector

9 To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down

on everyone else, Jesus told this parable: 10 “Two men went up to the temple

to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by

himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers,

evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week

and give a tenth of all I get.’

13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to

heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’

14 “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before

God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who

humble themselves will be exalted.”

Notes on the Order of Service 10/27/2019

Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZ203Bi6faORV37DbPuC26AO3_DiZIhSA

Notes:

  • For the "Halle, Halle, Halleluja" song, start at the beginning and fade out (or stop) at 0:33.

Alternatively, queue the song to 1.39. Then the verse in NCH 236 is played twice.

  • For information on The Litany of the Saints, see

http://ourcatholicprayers.com/litany-of-the-saints.html

The litany goes back to the fifth century. It is sung on a few occasions, including All Saints Day,

November 1.

  • "Halloween" is formed from "All Hallows' Eve." "Hallow" means "honor as holy" or "saint."

Halloween is the evening before All Saints Day. By the way, All Souls Day is actually November 2.

  • I included the parts of the service, such as "Introductory Rites," to indicate where the songs appear

in the service. This would not be in the bulletin. Also, I included the reason I chose a song in parentheses.
